America

Earlier this month, I spent a week in America. Most of the time I was in Washington DC, looking for the Beast.

Here are some of the things that struck me about America.

  • Americans talk very loud.

  • Many American men are seriously overweight.

  • American people are really friendly and helpful

  • America is an incredibly militaristic nation.

    However, I would point out to you that D.C. is not a great cross sample of most Americans. You're correct on the 2nd and 4th points. I'm thinking that people in the midwest speak softer than our northeast counterparts.
