Silent Prophets

The Old Testament prophets were quick to challenge kings that did not obey God’s law. The prophets did not let the kings off the hook, because they were leaders of God’s people. In fact, they demanded a higher standard from the people of God.

Modern prophets seem reluctant to test the current government of Israel against God’s law. The law protects all people living in the land.

When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God (Lev 19:33,34).
Israeli treatment of the Palestinians has been unnecessarily harsh and cruel. God requires his people to be kind to the strangers living in their midst.
The law also protects the property of everyone living in the land.
Do not move your neighbor's boundary stone set up by your predecessors in the inheritance you receive in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess (Deut 19:14).
Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor's boundary stone. (Deut 27:17).
The Israeli government has steadily confiscated more and more land that belongs to Palestinians and Arabs, usually for security reasons. Security requirements do not come above God’s law. If Ahab had claimed to have taken Naboth’s vineyard for security reasons, the prophet’s response would not have been any different.

God has preserved the descendents of Jacob and he requires Christians to bless the Jewish people, but that does not give the Israeli government the right to ignore God’s law. Therefore, I cannot understand why the prophets who have so much to say about God’s purpose for Israel are silent on these issues.

Ron, you have been taken captive by anti -Israel propaganda campaigns.  So have a lot of people.

You must know and understand the origin of the Palestinian people.  They are not some indigenous population that always existed as a people.  They were there, but not distinctive.

After the 67 war the bulk of people we now call Palestinians were from Jordon.

But, even after that there was not great difficulty.  People lived in relative peace.

Even up till the early 1980s after the Israelis captured Jerusalem the Jewish people and the Arabs lived in peace.  You could travel to Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nazareth and other sites without fear.

It wasn't until Yassar Arafat and the PLO declared war on Israel in the early 80's that things went from bad to worse.  Then Israel had to do what it must to protect itself from bombings.  That meant separation and control.  The worse it got the more Israel had to protect itself.

I had many friends and my own son who lived there during this time in Israel.  It got worse because of the PLO and Arafat.

The Israelis DID do what the command says it should do.  They tried to be hospitable.  They were attacked.  They can't allow an internal enemy to attack them without taking some protection.

And giving land back like Gaza has been a disaster.

There is nothing to do but what they are doing.  I may not be the quality prophet I should be but I will tell you I would never be critical of what is a correct policy for the leadership of Israel to pursue.

My only hope is that Bebe Netanyahu gets back in power.  Israel needs a strong hand.

But, I don't respect you less for being duped by the anti-Israeli propaganda.  Most people are.

Take another look.  Better yet, go to Israel as many of us have.  If you do you will see it for what it really is.  Self Defense.  Against such there is not law or command.

Ron,
You have spoken the truth, and I would like any one within an eye-shot to read...

First, this "anti-israel", "anti-zionism" stuff is political mumbo-jumbo. Do you want to know why? Because ANYONE who has understood and read the scriptures and believes, also knows that it belongs to GOD. That is all that needs to be said. No one can claim or occupy that which belongs to God.
Second, because the land belongs to God, he does have requirements for the those who live in the land, and those who wish to dwell in the land. They are not up for debate. The land has been taken captive by a people who claim they have a right to a home land. They have claimed this on the basis of their "faith" and "heritage," and I must warn all, because they have made this claim they will live by the conditions meted out by the Lord God himself! Because they have defrauded those living the land, stealing property, bearing false witness (which they are still doing), and leading the way in the sin of Ephraim and Dan once again, they will be in a struggle with the Lord God himself. If you read the scriptures you will see and understand this for yourself. If they will choose to claim to be a covenant people, then they will be treated like a covenant people and God will treat them according to the conditions set forth in his blessings and curses. They must call upon the Lord, for He is their defender and their Savior, not America, not the Brittons, or any of the allies that they have chosen over the Lord their God. They have set up their idols of jealousy before the Lord, and they will be disciplined by Him. I say this because we have sinned against the Lord. We (jews) are not innocent. Look up the timeline of when the mason temples (synagogue of satan) was established in Israel. Then look at the time line of when Zionism was established. Then look at the time line when the jewish bank and stock market (worship of Baal and Molech) was set up. And see if you can find any correlation between the rise of Nazism and hostility to the jews particularly in the timeline of the WWI and WWII. Print out the time lines for each of these events. Understand that each of these are meted out because of the sin of Ephraim. The land of Dan is modern day Tel Aviv. We are a covenant people to show the mercy, love, justice and compassion of a Holy God. He gave us Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah as our savior. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We are to be a reflection of Him, and through his Son, we have the strength and ability to administer true justice, mercy, compassion and love to all our brothers and sisters, whether jew or gentile. Ishmael is Isaac's big brother, regardless of what the political machine would like to make of him. Yeshua came to draw all men unto him. To reconcile all to His Father and His God. That goes for our muslim brothers and sisters as well. Looking back to the account of Ishmael in the desert, do you remember that Ishmael was first to drink the water from the rock? Even before the Israelites in the desert after coming out of captivity from Egypt? There is a great truth, that has been foreshadowed, and most often overlooked about Isaac's big brother. We have seen the foreshadowing of Abraham offering Isaac, and we are quick to understand that this was the foreshadowing of the coming messiah, but, we do not see the importance of Ishmael in all this. He too is of the seed of Abraham, and even though he is not of the promise, he is of the seed none the less. This should concern anyone who is willing to bless only Israel. We bless Israel and curse Ishmael? Because the blessings and curses fall upon the seed of Abraham we must then not be too hasty to bless one and curse the other. They are brothers. The land belongs to God, and all are welcome to live in it. There was never a need to have the United Nations give the "right" to anyone concerning what belongs to God in the first place. There is no two state solution. The ancient borders should not be carved up nor should they be moved. There is no need. All should live in the same land. Let's go back to the wisdom of Solomon in this case...
The two women come to him and claim that they are the mother of the baby. Solomon says lets cut the baby in half so each of you may have the baby. The real mother says no, give the other woman the baby, and by doing so, Solomon knew who the real mother was. We who love our land are not willing to carve it up or divide it. It is better to give it to others, and let the King decide who is the real mother.
