Flags

Our flags are causing controversy. A decision was made recently that the Maori Tino Rangatiratanga flag could be flown on some civic buildings.

One civic leader has objected to the flag, saying that it "racist and divisive".

Someone else said that the Union Jack (British Flag) in one corner of the official NZ flag is also racist and divisive.

I do not care about flags. I do not see any point in having one. Flags are only really of any use during a war when one nation is invading another. They are symbols of nationalism and militarism. I prefer peace to a flag.
