God set the gospel pattern right from the beginning. The disciples carried on down the same path. Jesus sent them out in pairs to live in a village that Jesus was going to visit.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us (John 1:14).Jesus came and lived among the people. He came and lived like them, so that he would fit in.
He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: “Whatever house you enter, stay there (Luke 9:2-4).
The Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go (Luke 10:1).The New Testament way is for pairs of Christians to go and live among people who need to hear the gospel. This enables them to see the good news.

When Christians think about starting a new church they look for a building to meet in on Sunday. They should be looking for a place to live.
