Politicians and Lies

Why do politicians and lies go together

I presume the reason is that politicians are concerned about their image.

In the last few weeks in New Zealand, several politicians from all sides of the political spectrum have appeared to lie to protect their image.

If a ruler listens to lies,
all his officials become
wicked. (Psalm 29:12)

A politician who will lie to protect their image is dangerous.
