Islamic State (8) Seals of Revelation

The emergence of the Islamic State is taking place in the context of the opening of the Seven Seals of Revelation.

1. The first seal is the bowmen on a white horse. It represents a resurgence of Islam. This seal kicked off with the Islamic Revolution in Iran 1978. Islam has been advancing powerfully since then all over the world, and will continue to advance. This is part of God’s strategy for a big transition on earth, so American military power will not be able to stop it. The Islamic State is part of that resurgence. The United States has tripped over this stumbling block several times already, and will stub its toe on Islam again and again.

2. The second seal released the rider on the red horse, who carries a big sword. This horseman represents civil wars between ethnic groups. This horseman has been at work in many places in the world over the past few decades. The conflict between Sunni and Shia Moslems in Iraq, and Alawite and Moslem in Syria are just the latest examples. The spirit of the Red Horse has been rampant in the Islamic State. Christians, Turkmen and Yazidis and members of many small Moslem sects have been killed by the Islamic State. This is the big sword of the horseman on the Red Horse.

3. The third horseman rides a black horse and carries scales. It releases an economic crisis, which brings hunger and starvation too much of the world. The violence and destruction of the Islamic State in the oil producing regions of the Middle East will be a major contributor to this crisis.

4. The fourth horse is pale and sickly. This horseman brings sickness and death. This might be the pestilence that Isaiah promised would damage the Spirit of Assyria.
