Compulsory Gifts
God gifted his son to us, because he loved the world,
not because he felt that he must.
When you feel that you have to give a gift,
it ceases to be a gift.
The marketers and merchants have conspired to make gifts
something that we have to do at Christmas.
They have ripped the heart out of the Christmas gift,
because a gift that is not bathed in love is just a duty.

I would say that family and friends are just as much a part of the conspiracy. I'm glad to see somebody agree with me. I've been feeling kinda alone out here.
