Judges not Needed Much

God's preferred method of government is judges interpreting the law.

As the Kingdom of God expands, the need for judges should diminish. According to the gospel, when a Christian realises that someone may have a case against them, he should seek the person out and settle as quickly as possible.

Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison (Matt 5:25).

Christians will sort out there problems before they go to court. As this happens, more and more, judges will have less and less to do.

I'm glad to hear this and believe it's true. But in the mean time, judges (who are lawyers where I live) will thrive off of the legislation of politicians (who are lawyers where I live) that condemn innocent people and take their money in the form of fines, and their property. The criminal/civil justice industry is a big thing in the US.

Ron -

Are you saying that the Church is destined to take over the civil scene?

I am definitely not saying that the church should take over the civil scene. That would be the worst possible disaster. Rather I am suggesting that the time might come when all people will voluntarily choose to live under the relevant aspects of Gods; theft, murder and false witness. Everyone accepts that these are wrong, whether Christian or not. Judges will apply these laws (not the the US justice industry). I have written about this more under the Government of God and Gods Law.
